About the Position

Her Campus Media is seeking a Community Associate who specializes in influencer and campus ambassador communities to join our team full-time. This person will play a critical role in managing, engaging, and scaling our influencer communities while also providing thoughtful, strategic recommendations and enhancing the community member experience.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a main point of contact for members of the InfluenceHer Collective, College Fashionista and Campus Trendsetters communities

  • Lead day-to-day community management and retention efforts for the InfluenceHer Collective, College Fashionista and Campus Trendsetters communities

  • Implement the InfluenceHer Collective, College Fashionista, and Campus Trendsetters community communication strategy, including but not limited to creating and distributing community newsletters and surveys and managing community social media groups and accounts

  • Support and execute an innovative community engagement strategy for the InfluenceHer Collective, College Fashionista, and Campus Trendsetters communities, including but not limited to implementing educational, mission-driven programming, developing resources, hosting community events, and promoting incentives

  • Manage weekly community performance tracking, analyzing data and compiling community activity and performance to identify trends and areas for improvement

  • Keep a pulse on college, Gen Z, and influencer marketing trends with an eye toward enhancing and innovating Her Campus Media's community offerings, which may include contributing time and knowledge to the Her Campus and Spoon Chapter Networks in addition to the InfluenceHer Collective, College Fashionista and Campus Trendsetters

  • Update and maintain internal databases with key information for the InfluenceHer Collective, College Fashionista and Campus Trendsetters communities, including alumni information

  • Manage interns as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or other college degree) preferred

  • 1+ years of community management experience, ideally in-house at a brand and/or managing influencer and brand ambassador relationships and marketing programs 

  • Demonstrated strong interest and knowledge in the influencer marketing industry and Gen Z as well as a pulse on trends in the space

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to make data-driven decisions, participate in public speaking opportunities, communicate with influencers/ambassadors, and manage relationships via email, phone, video meeting, and in-person

  • Excellent oral, written and verbal communication skills

  • Rigorous attention to detail and eye for design

  • Superior organizational abilities

  • Self-starter with go-getter attitude, positive and upbeat nature, and excellent work ethic who is a team player and excited about working in a startup environment

  • Proficiency in social media, particularly TikTok and Instagram, as well as Mailchimp, Asana, Microsoft Office, Canva and Google Drive a plus

Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000

Final salary offered to the candidate selected for the position will be based on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s skills, experience, and other factors.

Our timeline is to make a hire as soon as possible. You can expect 3-4 rounds of interviews, including an initial phone screen and subsequent interviews with leaders on the Community team as well as one of HCM’s Co-Founders. You will be asked to submit a short work sample to demonstrate your understanding and approach for this role.
