About the Position

The Social Coordinator, reporting to the Social Media Manager, will be responsible for day-to-day community management to help create a warm, welcoming online community while driving brand love. The Social Coordinator will also be responsible for social media content creation and help the social team with day-to-day needs. Your energy and passion for social media as a brand building tool will result in expanding Rare Beauty’s social media audience, increasing brand awareness, and generating demand.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Moderate the social community, responding to all public and private inquiries across Instagram and Facebook and engage with our community in a meaningful way

  • Ongoing social listening to share with cross functional partners and infer future strategies

  • Support the Social Media Manager with brand advocate identification, outreach, and gifting

  • Assist in creating and maintaining the monthly social calendar

  • Track all channel sentiment through weekly and monthly recaps

  • Assist social team with coordinating giveaways, outreach, and shipping

  • Ideate and create engaging original content for Rare Beauty’s Instagram stories leveraging current trends, cultural moments, and creating sharable moments on the platform

  • Manage deadlines for all social assets including user generated content and Wrike requests

  • Use tools like Dash Hudson to report on metrics as needed

  • Collaborate with the Social Media Manager to develop social media campaigns that are consistent with the company's brand identity

  • Support global social media needs, as needed

  • Assist the social and marketing team with day-to-day functions, as needed

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in marketing or related field

  • Strong passion for beauty, social, branding, and all things marketing

  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills required

  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively with a team-player mindset

  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams

  • Strong PowerPoint, Word, and Excel skills with an eye for formatting

  • Highly organized

  • Impeccable attention to detail

  • Strong time management skills

  • Entrepreneurial, “roll up your sleeves” attitude

  • Strong writing skills are a plus

Physical Demands

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

  • No heavy lifting is expected, though occasional exertion of about 20 lbs. of force (e.g., picking up and carrying product, packages, laptops, etc.) may be required

  • Ability to communicate orally with coworkers, community members, and vendors is crucial. This role will require regular use of phone and email for communication. Hearing and vision correctable to within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, receiving ordinary information, and preparing or inspecting documents.
