About the position

The ideal Rare Beauty Social Media Content Coordinator is obsessed with all things' beauty, and social media, and has a keen eye for social media trends. This position will support our award-winning social team and report to the Social & Content Manager. The Social Media Content Coordinator will assist in content creation, and daily community management and support the team with day-to-day functions. The ideal candidate is resourceful, self-motivated, and loves a fast-paced environment while still maintaining a passion for storytelling.

Responsibilities

  • Manage TikTok community moderation for both owned and earned content to amplify brand voice and cultivate a warm, welcoming community

  • Work with Social & Content Manager to manage vertical content calendar and execute a goal-oriented social content strategy

  • Manage Instagram Stories as a content vertical, both creating and posting all assets and working with internal talent to coordinate filming

  • Be open to serving as talent on brand livestreams—TikTok Live, Instagram Live, etc.

  • Report on content performance, weekly & monthly, incorporating relevant metrics and analysis

  • Ideate, film, and edit TikTok videos that help drive discovery and entertain

  • Share weekly social newsletters to the Social Team and Chief Marketing Officer

  • Source user-generated content on TikTok, tracking mentions and relevant hashtags daily

  • Lead communication about social trends, sounds, and video concepts

  • Identify up-and-coming viral TikTok trends and pitch methods in which the brand can participate in an impactful way

  • Assist team in coordinating giveaways, winners, and shipments

  • Assist social team in pulling metrics for monthly reporting

  • Assist in the planning and execution of digital marketing initiatives and strategies

  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments on projects and assignments

  • Participate in weekly social team meetings to optimize social channels

  • Research and propose additional marketing tactics to deploy across social platforms

  • Assist the social media team with day-to-day functions, as needed

  • Additional responsibilities as required

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of social media or related experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, social media, business, communications, PR, or related fields

  • Strong knowledge of social media channels and platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and YouTube

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to remain highly organized

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Strong photo and video editing skills are a plus

Physical Demands

  • Frequently moves product weighing up to 20 pounds across office for various needs

  • Frequently moves about inside the office to access storage rooms, office machinery, etc.

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer and other screen types (cell phones, tablets, etc.)

  • Some domestic and international travel may be required
