About the Position

Reporting to the Director of Social Media, the Social Medial Associate will play a key role in helping foster, build, grow, and manage a strong community and social presence at rhode. The ideal candidate has experience managing social media channels for a high-growth business or start-up and the ability to drive engagement in a brand-appropriate way. This position must be vigilant of their organization's brand presence and assess the potential consequences of all communications. Brand presence includes content published + consistency of voice across platforms to keep the company on track in terms of audience awareness and engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Director of Social Media to drive community management across all of rhode’s social channels.

  • Engage with our customers and followers across social media in a manner that best reflects our brand values and mission.

  • Surface key learnings from our community to our leadership team.

  • Work closely with our customer service team to ensure we are responding to all customers in a timely and appropriate manner in regards to their orders.

  • Manage the day to day of all rhode’s social platforms, including daily posting of content to rhode’s Instagram grid, Instagram Stories, and TikTok.

  • Ability to execute social media strategies that result in an elevation of the rhode brand and overall brand awareness.

  • Ability to conceptualize, coordinate, and create compelling content for rhode’s social channels to drive growth and engagement.

  • Help coordinate, grow, and foster relationships with our community of content creators.

  • Work closely with the Director of Social Media to execute marketing strategies in an organized and efficient manner.

  • Stay abreast of key industry trends, competitive insights and industry leaders in social media.

To Be Successful

  • Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented with strong multitasking and organizational skills.

  • Experienced in all aspects of social media.

  • Adept at managing social media platforms including but not limited to: Instagram, TikTok, & Facebook.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to optimize content strategically to drive results

  • Knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) and web metrics.

  • Proficient in word processing applications, spreadsheets, presentation software and social media management tools.

  • Good judgment and quick problem-solving skills.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of proven Social Media experience.

  • Prior experience in the beauty industry is preferred.

  • Startup experience is a plus.

Other information

The annual salary for this position is between $65,000-$85,000, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
