About the Position

As Community Coordinator for Milk Makeup, you will assist Milk Makeup’s social team in driving successful, results-driven marketing comms efforts across social media channels including TikTok & emerging channels. This person will be responsible for consistently engaging with our community, coordinating content across social channels, growing brand awareness & increasing fan acquisition while partnering with our team to increase our brand affinity with our communities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations + community management of Milk Makeup’s social media channels

  • Always-on community management; field community comments and direct to appropriate person or department for feedback as needed

  • Gather, summarize, and share product feedback to inform product and marketing strategies; be a point of contact for our CX team

  • Own the posting of all organic social media content in partnership with part-time Community Coordinator during the week & on weekends (channels: Tiktok, YouTube/YT Shorts, IG Stories/IG Reels, Meta)

  • Closely collaborate with Social Media team to develop and maintain 30/60/90 day content plans focusing on strengthening engagement while driving key integrated marketing priorities and keeping core of Milk Makeup DNA alive

  • Support the team in identifying real-time engagement opportunities for the brand

  • Own the ideation and execution of IG Stories in partnership with Content Manager & Social Copywriter

  • Responsible for UGC sourcing, outreach, and approval for all social networks; focusing on organic social reposts and paid content amplification opportunities

  • Collaborate with part-time community coordinator on keeping UGC tracker up-to-date

  • Occasionally create content that will support Milk Makeup’s organic social pages

  • Creating and filming trends/real-time reactive content

  • Support coverage of PR/press events

  • Establish regular community management share outs with the larger Marketing Team and contribute to organic social quarterly reports

  • Identify and maximize social media management + listening and analytics tools for variety of team projects including monthly summaries, launch reports, content deep dives, competitive benchmarking (ie Phidel reports)

  • Collaborate with Content Manager and Social Content Team to determine new opportunities to engage and expand our audience (contests, partnerships, creative ways to engage audiences, new app functionality)

Requirements

  • 1 year of internship or independent experience in social media marketing, specifically in community building and engagement

  • Understanding of the latest trends and platform updates on social media

  • Excellent writing skills

  • Comfortable being on camera and creating content. Video editing skills a plus.

  • Experience in beauty is a major plus

  • Able to work a hybrid work schedule with potential weekend support (in person 3x a week)
